Timber framing and post-and-beam construction has been our passion for years. Backyard TimberFrame Design is our effort to bring this expertise to a whole new set of customers.
There’s nothing more satisfying to our team than the simplicity and beauty of great timber framing. Take note next time you’re out and about in rural Pennsylvania: the oldest barns you see standing are of timber frame construction – and many still look as good today as they did 200 years ago.
That precision and craftsmanship is what drives us every day.
Launched in 2023, we’re bringing decades of experience preparing and building with post-and-beam timber frame methods under a new umbrella. We work with homeowners and contractors to build timber frame buildings, barns, pavilions or porches, and accent pieces throughout the Altoona, PA region.
